If you like fresh
air and beautiful scenery, you'll love this resort. You can travel
to this resort by boat and dock at the back door. The gambling
is not of the high-limit sort, so you'll be able to enjoy the
natural surroundings while visiting this slice of heaven. The
Lake of the Woods Restaurant serves a buffet at noon and dinner
with a view in the evening. The lake itself, with sandy beaches
and scenic beauty that compliments the 14,000 chartered islands,
is reason enough to visit. Hospitality is the name of the game
here.
Lake of the Woods is actually one of a trio of casinos that includes
Lake of the Woods Casino and Bingo, River Road Casino and Bingo,
and Red Lake Casino and Bingo, owned and operated by the Lake
Band of Chippewa Indians. For information, call 800-568-6649.

Hayes Lake State Park and for bird watchers the Roseau River Wildlife
Management area is terrific.
